Excel Master class for SMEs

As a follow up to last year’s successful Project manage software training seminar, IT Enterprise Business Solutions will be hosting a series of master classes on using Excel.  At many of the offices we attend we find endless numbers of spreadsheets used from calculating cash flow to organising the milk roster.  Most of these are either badly programmed or not used to the best benefit of the organisation. As a response we have designed a session that goes beyond using Excel just as a giant calculator.

We’ll be looking at finding ways to manipulate information and present it in a meaningful manner.  We’ll look at how to build formulas and use shortcuts more efficiently. The seminar will be based on a real life work scenario which will guide you through a variety of tools that will increase your knowledge and use of the program:

Areas to be covered are:

  • Combining data from different sources
  • The use of pivot tables and what they do/show
  • Use of Graphs •Conditional formatting
  • An introduction to macros and automating procedures beyond the initial programming

A practice template will be made available on the day for those who bring their own laptops.   The session is designed for people with an intermediate knowledge of Excel and are either working in an accounts environment or business owners who want to develop their own financial tools.

Examples of what can be done can be found on the downloads section of our website at IT-EBS downloads
