Not all returns require repair, and some stock are so damaged or too expensive to transport that the goods are not returned to site.  This is a typical RMA request in these circumstances.

In those cases the type is classified as “No receipt required.” The “drop ship” function now becomes available.

This allows you to select a supplier to whom a request can be made to raise a PO and get the supplier to send directly to the customer using their address within the system.

There are no realted orders created as the issue is now transferred directly between the customer and the supplier. Once you hear back from the supplier you can put the result in the “supplier resolution” section. Your response, in this case a credit note and any comments.

The credit note is now created and the RMA automaticlly set to “completed”.
