Tradegecko was the inventory platform linked to Quickbooks Accounting software. Emphasis on the term “was”. Intuit software, the company that owns QuickBooks, has now decided to retire the Tradegecko product as of from the 10th of June 2022. They are no longer not accepting new customers from June of this year. The reason for this is so they can focus on releasing their own inventory system as part of the QuickBooks suite of software. At present only US customers are eligible for an upgrade to this new platform. That means a significant number of business’s, around the world, will no longer be able use the software from mid next year. Those affected will have to find alternates to TradeGecko onto a new platform before that date, otherwise they will not only cease to be able to access the software but run the risk of losing all their data as well.
What does Tradegecko do?
This will be a tall order as Tradegecko covered a number of functions. At its core was a very good inventory management system. It specialised in providing just in time stock for business’s selling items through a number of different channels with the ability to replenish stock by raising purchase orders to different suppliers. It could link the backend to various B2B or B2C ecommerce sites as well as physical stores. It had the capacity to forecast demand planning and trigger reorders to arrive at predetermined times. It could handle multiple warehousing, multi-currency, batch traceability and shipping rules to optimise delivery times and cost control for transport.
DEAR systems as a possible alternative to TradeGecko.

There are several API add-ons to websites such as eBay, Amazon and Shopify and has its own integrated Point of Sales system. The warehousing function operates in a similar manner and the look and navigation within the software is virtually the same.
