Task Automation and Task Workflow
The Tasks section in DEAR is part of the DEAR Automation module that requires a subscription upgrade. Through this you can assign tasks to users directly and generate tasks based upon an action with Cin7 Core. Workflows are conditional scripts where a completion of one task triggers another.

Enable Tasks Module
To activate, Go to Settings → Automation → Task Settings, enable Task module, this will automatically activate and then save your changes. This will make the other task tabs (Calendar, Task Categories, etc.) visible.
Enable task permissions through Settings → Users & Roles

Configure calendar
Go to Settings → Automation → Task Settings → Calendar. Through calendar you can edit what day the week starts on, the number of non-working days as well as book holidays.

Set up task categories
Task categories is an option to organise tasks into named and colour coded section. To enable this, go to the Task Categories tab. Click + and create all the Task Categories that you require and save your changes.
This can include: delivery, inventory, sales, purchase low stock etc.

Assign a task
When the tasks module is enabled, you will be able to assign tasks to other users in your organisation from a purchase order, sale order, production order etc.
Tasks can be assigned to lead opportunities, sale orders, purchase orders, production orders, etc. The task icon is visible in the top right of a document header. Use + to assign a task or Workflow. Task workflows must already be created before they can be assigned to a user.

Tasks Module: Using Notifications & Tasks to Create Workflows
A workflow is a series of actions that are set to be executed when a set criteria has been met. Workflows can be manually assigned to a user or triggered automatically by an action within the system.
To create workflow tasks, Go to Settings → Automation → Task Settings → Workflow and Click + to start a new workflow and fill in all fields.
Enter the name and operation (Sale, Purchase, Customer etc.) to the module which is applicable.
Set the parameter Due days are based on (Previous task completion date, Workflow start date, or Sale Required By date).
Choose the notification that will start running the workflow.
You can then add a task to the workflow, click the + Task button.
Enter a name for the task, select a task category (optional), assign it to a user, and the number of days when it becomes due. You can then save.
