Another scenario would be when goods are damaged or faulty and after inspection they can not be repaired so must be written off. Follow the same route as before except put the reason as faulty or damaged parts.

When the goods are returned select the reason “scap” once they have been checked.

An “inventory write off” is created automatically start with a prefix of “FG”. A credit note is also generated which can be refunded as it was done previously.

This then takes the units returned and removes them from stock and decreases the stock value by the number of units by their purchase or manufactured value. The nominal code comes from the settings in the reference books.

This auto fills the resolution and completes the RMA.
